What is HTF Exotherm® Technology ? 
HTF Exotherm®(Heat Transfer Formula Exother
m) is a propriety cooling technology. It is the latest cooling technology specifically designed to provide comfort and heat stress protection in high temperature environments.
HTF Exotherm®, encapsulated in various shaped packs, dependent on their specific use, makes a phase change in minutes from a liquid to a semi-solid, white waxy form and releases long-lasting, temperature specific cooling relief.
The cool UniPaks can be re-energized thousands of times by simply submerging in ice and water. HTF Exotherm® is non-toxic, non-flammable, durable, lighter than water and does not produce condensation.
HTF Exotherm® will not transfer electrical energy and can be used safely with all electronic equipment.

What is the background to HTF Exotherm® technology ?
HTF Exotherm® was originally, specifically, designed to meet the requirements of military, law enforcement and government HAZMAT/WMD responders. Most important, HTF Exotherm® is the "original Exotherm-type phase-change" technology developed for personal body cooling in the early '90s and today, remains the only technology that has successfully undergone rigorous field and instrumented testing by both military test & evaluation agencies and users. In every instance HTF Exotherm® has proved its capability, superior benefits and value!
The objective of HTF Exotherm® was to provide a simple, passive method of maintaining thermal regulation for personnel with high activity or wearing body armor and other protective apparel in hot climates, including hot-dry and hot-humid conditions. It also needed to be simple and effective in cooling the body.
Head & Helmet Cooling Pads
The Head & Helmet Cooling Pads, containing HTF Exotherm®, energize in minutes from a liquid to a semi-solid, white waxy form and maintain their preset constant temperature of ˜55°F through-out their energized cooling cycle of about 1 hour. To recharge simply submerge the pad in ice water.
How do they work?
As the human body expels heat in order to maintain thermal regulation, the body increases blood flow to the peripheral skin areas of the body and head.
The head becomes a "radiator" and a primary area where heat is expelled from the body.
The HTF Exotherm® filled Head & Helmet Cooling Pads work the opposite of ice. Ice products are too cold for most biological applications, as applying ice to skin quickly results in vasoconstriction and vastly reduced capillary blood flow. The preset temperature of the Head & Helmet Cooling Pads does not deliver the cold sensation one expects to feel. Rather, their higher temperature absorbs excess heat that builds up within a helmet, hardhat or other headgear. The higher temperature of the HTF Exotherm® in the Head & Helmet Cooler provides longevity for the wearer, yet does not produce condensation on the head and face, as would a much colder device.
The purpose of the HTF Exotherm® filled Head & Helmet Cooling Pads are two-fold.
- By absorbing excess heat that builds up within headgear, the inside headgear temperature is reduced by 20 - 25 degrees or more, depending upon the situation.
- This substantially reduced temperature enables the head to expel more heat and accelerates the body's ability to naturally cool itself.
When energized, the Head & Helmet Cooling Pad will not feel "cold" to the fingers. This is because the tactile senses in fingertips are not as temperature sensitive, as is our neck or face, under the arms, or on the chest. Despite the fact that the Head & Helmet Cooling Pad, containing HTF Exotherm®, does not feel cool to the touch, it works hard at keeping the head cool and keeping you in the cool zone.
Head & Helmet Cooling Pads fit into any cap, hard hat, or helmet. They are attached by the Velcro strips. They recharge in 5 minutes in ice and water.

Forehead Cooling Pads
Forehead Cooling Pads are a one of purchase that will put you fast into the cool zone forever. They are actually a single, flexible HTF Exotherm®cooling cell. The cell is covered in an easy to clean polymer surface which is hygienic and does not absorb any sweat or odors.
The Forehead Cooling Pad is tucked into the front of a ball cap and held in place by the fabric brim. It rests against your

It will remain charged in temperatures below 26C.

Baby Seat Cooling Pads
The hot weather can be a time of risk for babies because they are easily affected by the heat. It is important to keep them from getting overheated. They rely on others to control their environment.
